The unincorporated community of Clinton, MD, is located in Prince Georges County, adjacent to Andrews Air Force Base. It covers 25 square miles of land, home to a population of about 36,000 people.
Clinton was originally known as Surrattsville until just after the Civil War, when the town played a role in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. The Wyoming house is also part of Clinton’s history, a historic frame structure built in three phases between the 18th and early 19th centuries. Clinton today consists mostly of single-family housing, along with a major shopping complex. Louise F. Cosca Regional Park offers plenty of outdoor activities.
